Get Enabled for FIRS E-Invoicing with DigiTax
Go LIVE on DigiTax Nigeria and FIRS E-Invoicing system
These are the steps needed to get enabled for FIRS E-Invoicing and go LIVE on DigiTax Nigeria:
Enable Your Business Entity for e-invoicing

Access the FIRS e-invoicing portal on einvoice.firs.gov.ng/login

Navigate to the Businesses Tab to check your e-invoicing enablement status.

If not enabled, select โGet Enabledโ to initiate setup.
Complete the onboarding form with:
- Your business information
- Select DigiTax as your Access Point Provider (APP)
DigiTax will be listed here soon. FIRS is having a phased-rollout of the FIRS E-Invoicing system and approved APPs
- Input your ERP details, and set a decryption code
- Submit the form to trigger FIRS review and approval for e-invoicing access.
You can also submit your data on the enablement form on einvoice.firs.gov.ng/enablement without logging into FIRS e-invoicing portal.
Set up a cloud account, and business on DigiTax dashboard

Sign up on digitax.tech

Create a Nigeria profile

Create a LIVE business under the Nigeria profile
Note: a Sandbox business is used only for testing

Reach out to DigiTax support for next steps
- Commercial conversations come in at this point (if not sooner)
- Commercial conversations are finalized, and DigiTax subscription and one-time setup fees are paid
- An initialization request is made to FIRS E-Invoicing system, marking your business LIVE on DigiTax
Once that business goes LIVE, you can go ahead and generate an API Key under the "Integrations" tab.
Your integration is LIVE ๐
Using the LIVE X-API-Key, you'll now be interacting with the production environment of FIRS E-Invoicing system
API Keys management
Once you generate an API key, you have the option to deactivate them.
Navigate to the "Integrations" menu and click on the "padlock" icon under the Action column.

Click Deactivate key if you'd like to invalidate the key for API use.
